Welcome to Sound Propeller Systems
Sound Propeller Systems was established April 2007. The company was formed to
extend the parent companies ability to
provide specialized technical services
in repairs of marine propulsion systems
including controllable pitch propellers,
bow thrusters, electronic and pneumatic
control systems and sterntube sealing
systems.
We are presently expanding our business
designing a range of z-drives from 1500
to 3500 horsepower.
We will extend our
manufacturing line to include controllable
pitch propellers and bow thrusters as time and or demand dictates.
Our goal is to design a robust machine that
is manufactured in the United States with ISO 9001 subcontracted parts and assembled under our control and
overseen by ABS to achieve a Type classification. We are determined to produce a modular package that is user
friendly, factory supported with spare parts and trained service technicians to assist when necessary.
Our company’s experience is based on four owners with an excess of 100 years of work related to the design,
installation and testing of propulsion systems including shafting, fixed pitched propellers, controllable pitch
propeller systems, bow thrusters and sterntube
seals world wide.
Our staff includes
both mechanical and electrical competent
employees. We are a hands on group
that understands the needs of the marine
industry. We have a full service facility with
15,000 sq. ft. of floor space and three overhead
cranes with up to 20 tons lifting capacity
to deal with your immediate needs
twenty-four hours seven days a week.
Our
years of exposure with manufacturing and
the marine industry has also allowed us to
form an extended relationship with multiple
suppliers and machining and technical
contacts to fulfill the needs of any job.
